A severe thunderstorm is expected to hit the Chicago area between 5pm – 8pm with a tornado watch until 10pm. The storm will be fast moving and may only last 30-45 minutes. It will be accompanied by 70 mph winds, hail (the size of a quarter) and heavy rains.
